James Freeman, 50, of Bridgeport, was found in the water after a passerby call 911 around 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, said Bridgeport Police.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after being pulled unclothed and frozen from the pond.
In January police said there were no indications of foul play even though his clothes were found with a small amount of blood on them.
Currently, the Medical Examiner's Office is awaiting toxicology reports before issuing a cause of death.
A brief obituary published for Freeman said he was born on April 24, 1968. The funeral home who handling his arrangements, Morton's Mortuary, is also taking donations to help cover burial costs. To date, $390 has been raised of the $4,000 needed. To donate, click here.
Services are planned for Saturday, Feb. 16, at Morton’s Mortuary, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m.
